The Introduction

To begin with I had no idea I would turn out to be this guy saving the world from computer issues but here I am. I will never forget that faithful day….

I am Joe Regular guy on my very minimal waged security job (at night of course) and in comes one of the tenants. He was WHITE of course.

(*NOTE* Let me say this before going any further I am in no way a racist (but many people say that) but I am Black and I do believe what I believe…racism is still alive and it does affect a superhero like me. So if by chance my post come off as racist it isn’t meant to be but it is how I may have felt at that moment)

Now I am doing my job (relaxing because the building is almost empty and he walks up and say in that preppy white voice “So I guess you heard about our company”?Of course I wasn’t about to let him know I did hear something on the news mentioning their company before I came in. “Ah…no what about your company”? “Well they said today we were closing up for good”. But all the while he didn’t look like it was going to effect him in the least bit and I sure didn’t feel anything for him. Here I was working in the big (can we curse here?) @ssed building til the sun came up never knowing who was coming in the place or who was still there because the building was so big and it had lots of entrances and exits and you expect me to feel for you?

You were one of the uppers in your office. People kissed your @ss and sure let it be known you could get me fired if I didn’t do the same. Ha…Ha…Ha now you have to find another job. But I am sure after you take your trip to somewhere far and expensive you will have a job waiting for you. And out of nowhere he says “we just got all of this new equipment and they have said to get rid of it”. Then he asks if I am into computers. Of course I lied and said yes. Hell at that time they were just becoming the NEXT BIG THING. “Look I really have no idea what to do with this stuff so how about I let you get one for home”? Automatically my answer was a resounding yes but with the job I had a little extra something in the pocket would be good so I asked for a couple more and he obliged.
